The Kerry Spot on National Review Online

The Kerry Spot on National Review Online

I LOVE this analogy...One of my most favorite scenes from "Raiders of the Lost Ark."

From the Kerry Spot:

THE BUSH CAMPAIGN'S FAVORITE METAPHOR [09/09 02:39 PM]

"I'm not quite sure what this comparison of the presidential campaign to one of my all-time favorite movie scenes by London's Daily Telegraph means, exactly, but I'm sure the Bush campaign loves it.

Watching Mr Kerry try to take on Mr Bush brings to mind a classic moment in that cult film of the 1980s, Raiders of the Lost Ark. Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones is trapped in a back-alley in an Egyptian souk.

A crowd closes in as a giant Arab steps forward wielding a scimitar. Snick-snack it goes through the air, faster and faster.

The audience tenses. Indie shudders. Then he draws a pistol from his belt and shoots the Arab in the forehead. Game over. The crowd drifts away.

Such is America's polarisation that the crowd enveloping the two presidential candidates is not yet drifting away. But, notwithstanding his own twists over Iraq, Mr Bush plays a convincing straight shooter. His pistol is already drawn and all the while Mr Kerry seems happier whirling a scimitar than reaching for a gun.

Oh, wait, Kerry's convoluted, complicated explanations of his views on every issue is like waving around the sword, while Bush's blunt, four-to-five words-in-their-entirety statements are like shooting a gun. Now it makes sense."

Power Line: The sixty-first minute

Power Line: The sixty-first minute

Power Line discusses the documents that CBS showed on 60 minutes. These documents may be forged....Not good for the Kerry Campaign.

Kerry Anti-War Ally Recants 1971 Claims of War Crimes -- GOPUSA

Kerry Anti-War Ally Recants 1971 Claims of War Crimes -- GOPUSA

This veteran states that Kerry pressured him to lie about war-crimes.

How "presidential" is that??

In other news...it looks as though the documents CBS presented on its show appear to be forged...to make President Bush look bad. This may be larger than Watergate or Clinton's "affair" if Kerry's campaign is involved in forging documents to discredit the President. I'll update as I hear more.....

ATR | Kerry Tax Hikes

ATR | Kerry Tax Hikes

Have I blogged this before? If so, it is worth reading again.

Send this to all of your bleeding heart liberal friends! I'm sure they are looking forward to paying more in taxes....

ATR | John Kerry Quietly Unveils Middle Class Tax Hike

ATR | John Kerry Quietly Unveils Middle Class Tax Hike

I predict that he will ALSO increase taxes on those making $25,000 and above. Keep your eyes OPEN! Kerry is a liar. Kerry canNOT be trusted.

Kerry Team Favors Tax Increase on Investors

Kerry Team Favors Tax Increase on Investors

Kerry's plan really angers me. Here is the socialist agenda --- those that have worked, saved and invested get to take care of those who CHOOSE (yes, choose!) NOT to work, save and invest.

ATR | Kerry's Paid Just 12% in Federal Income Taxes in 2003

ATR | Kerry's Paid Just 12% in Federal Income Taxes in 2003

WOW! How is this for hypocrisy! Read the article! Kerry does not practice what he preaches! Big surprise.....

No thanks to the Liberal Media for not reporting this, however, it looks like we are finding WMD-related materials that Saddam shipped out of Iraq before he was invaded! Go figure!

John Kerry for President - The 2004 GOP Convention: Four Days Filled With Lies, Mischaracterizations, Distortions, And Half-Truths

John Kerry for President - The 2004 GOP Convention: Four Days Filled With Lies, Mischaracterizations, Distortions, And Half-Truths

Kerry took down this page, so Captain's Quarters cached it for your viewing.

This is the former page on the Kerry Campaign that listed "lies" from the RNC....however, Kerry's Campaign never factually refuted these "lies."

I've noticed that the Kerry website puts up and takes down information....a lot.....

Advice from Bill Gates

Here is another email I received from a friend. Thank You!

This is something from Bill Gates. I went ahead and checked Open Secrets because I thought that he supported Kerry. However, it looks like he supports President Bush!

Even if Bill Gates did not actually say this...It is still GREAT advice!

To anyone with kids of any age, here's some advice.

Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.
  • Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!
  • Rule 2: The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.
  • Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.
  • Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.
  • Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping - they called it opportunity.
  • Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.
  • Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.
  • Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.
  • Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.
  • Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.
  • Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

If you can read this - Thank a teacher!

If you are reading it in English - Thank a soldier!!

Kerry: It's all about him

We just heard on ABC this morning that Kerry telephoned Clinton last night....on the eve of his Quadruple Bypass Surgery....and Kerry asked Clinton advice as to strategy on debating President Bush....

What's wrong with this picture? Clinton's perspective has changed....just a little....and Narcissistic Kerry is wanting Clinton to HELP him! NO ONE calls a friend or colleague on the eve of a serious surgery and acts like "it's all about me." It's obvious that Kerry's thoughts were not on the former President and his upcoming Bypass surgery....

However...Kerry does seem to have a problem in this area....even though he is an attorney.....Check out his website. His campaign has listed 143 "lies and half truths" from the Republican Convention. It's hilarious because they list these "lies," however, they do not counter argue these "lies." They just list them....and it makes the Republicans look GOOD!

This is for Meryl Streep

Meryl Streep, the liberal, and Denzel Washington, the Republican, had a discussion regarding Jesus a few weeks ago. Meryl attempted to pull the "what would Jesus do?" regarding the war in Iraq.

Here is my answer. "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13.

It sounds like Jesus would fight for us......

Varifrank

These are funny! From Varifrank

Overheard on IM:( The new water cooler)
Best quotes overheard last night at the cyber water-cooler of Instant Messenger:

While we all of us on our chat session loved the Presidents speech, the real show of the evening was watching Kerrys attempt to get back in the game afterwards

SNIP...
K**ry's now runnin' like a scalded dog

SNIP...
You know anyone with a car in their driveway from 1968?
Then why in the hell would anyone want to put a man in the whitehouse who still thinks its 1968?

SNIP...
Holy Christ!, he just said Vietnam again. If you took that word out of vocabulary, you'd get nothing out of his piehole but but the words "I and Me".

SNIP..
Who's bright idea was it to keep a 60 year old man up past midnight to give a speech?

SNIP...
Is there anyone on the planet that doesnt look at this as sad and pathetic?

SNIP...
Just like a politician from Massachusetts to schedule a rally at midnight on a weeknight completely ignoring that people have to get up in the morning get the kids to school and go to work.

(reply)

You say that like he ever got up for work and got the kids to school or knew anyone who did.
