Health Insurance Companies Suck

I will tell you why people have no insurance.....It's ridiculously OVERPRICED and it covers NOTHING!

My pediatrician billed my health insurance company $148 for an annual check up for my kids...$148 each...and $75 for a tetanus shot. If I did not have insurance, I would have been charged $138 for each checkup and $5 for the tetanus shot! Texas has some program for children without insurance. What a crock! Discrimination! I'm dumping my insurance. And my insurance did not cover $100 of one bill and $122 of the other bill.....ON TOP of my monthly PREMIUMS....

THIS is why people do not have insurance....I'm dumping mine..and I recommend you do the same. I'm checking into major medical. It is CHEAPER to pay as I go and then have insurance should a tragedy happen.

The Ant and the Grasshopper

LOVE this story! Thanks for emailing it to me!

OLD VERSION:The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks he's a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed. The grasshopper has no food or shelter so he dies out in the cold.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be responsible for yourself!

************************************************************************** MODERN VERSION:
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks he's a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving.

CBS, CNN, NBC, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food. America is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?

Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper, and everybody cries when they sing "It's Not Easy Being Green."

Jesse Jackson stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the news stations film the group singing "We shall overcome." Jesse then has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's sake.

John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, Tom Daschle , Dick Gephart, Hillary Clinton and Howard Dean stage an interview with Peter Jennings claiming that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his "fair share."
Finally, the EEOC drafts the "Economic Equity and Anti-Grasshopper Act," retroactive to the beginning of the summer. The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the government.

Hillary Clinton gets her old law firm to represent the grasshopper in a defamation suit against the ant, and the case is tried before a panel of Federal judges that Bill Clinton appointed from a list of single-parent welfare recipients.

The ant loses the case.

As the story ends, as we see the grasshopper finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he is in, which just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around him because he doesn't maintain it.

The ant has disappeared in the snow.

Later, the grasshopper is found dead in a drug-related incident and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the once peaceful neighborhood.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Vote Republican.

Captain's Quarters

I'm giving you the link to Captain's Quarters. The Captain will be one of the bloggers at the RNC Convention. This is a recent post from his blog:

FBI Files Show Kerry Took Laundered Money In 1996.

In a skeleton that CQ noted back in February, the independent watchdog group Judicial Watch has released formerly classified FBI files showing that John Kerry took laundered money from Chinese frontman Johnny Chung for Kerry's 1996 re-election campaign:

Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, today released recently declassified documents showing that Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John Kerry accepted laundered contributions for his 1996 re-election campaign from the Communist Chinese government and that, in exchange, he may have arranged meetings between Chinese aerospace executives and U.S. government officials. Obtained from the FBI through Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act requests, the documents are related to the FBI’s “Chinagate” investigation into the Clinton campaign’s acceptance of contributions from Communist Chinese government sources. ...

“These disturbing FBI documents raise further questions about Sen. Kerry’s involvement in what looks like a quid pro quo (cash for meetings) with the Communist Chinese,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

In the second document attached at the website, the first section proposes to investigate four points of interest in Chung's relationship with Senator Kerry:

* Meeting with Senator with China Aerospace executives
* Senator arranged meeting at SEC
* Meeting at SEC, other meetings arranged?
* Fundraiser for Sen. Kerry in Los Angeles/ conduit contributions

In fact, it appears from this document that the FBI found more points of interest with Kerry's relationship to Chung than with those of Bill Clinton or Al Gore, who understandably received a lot more of the attention at the time.

Just what Kerry needed this month -- yet another blast from his past coming out to haunt him. (Hat tip: CQ reader and frequent tipster Amelia)

A scenario....

You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children.

Suddenly, a dangerous looking man with a huge knife comes around the corner and locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, raises his knife, and charges. You're carrying a Smith & Wesson and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family. What do you do?

Democrat's Answer: Well, that's not enough information to answer the question! Does the man look poor or oppressed? Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack? Could we run away? What does my wife think? What about the kids? Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand? What does the law say about this situation? Does the gun have an appropriate safety built into it? Why am I carrying a loaded gun and what kind of message does this send to society and my children? Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me? Does he definitely want to kill me or would he just be content to wound me? If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me? When it's over, how can the survivor's get closure? This is all so confusing! I need to debate this with some friends for a few days to try to come to a conclusion.

Republican's Answer: BANG!

Texan's answer:BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! Click Click Click.

Made In Mexico

Here is an email I received from a friend. Thanks Lisa!

Check some of your Heinz products. Sen. John Kerry keeps talking about U.S. corporations leaving this country and setting up shop in foreign countries, taking thousands of jobs with them.

He is right, because that has happened. However, he is trying to blame it on George W. Bush. As far as I know, Bush has not moved one factory out of this country because he is not the owner of a single factory.

That cannot be said about Kerry and his wife, Teresa Heinz-Kerry. According to the Wall Street Journal, the Kerry's own 32 factories in Europe and 18 in Asia and the Pacific. In addition, their company, the Heinz Company, leases four factories in Europe and four in Asia. Also, they own 27 factories in North America, some of which are in Mexico and the Caribbean. 80% of Heinz products are made overseas.

I wonder how many hundreds of American workers lost their jobs when these plants relocated in foreign countries? I also wonder if the workers in Mexico and Asia are paid the same wages and benefits as workers in the United States? Of course they're not. However, Kerry demands that other companies that relocate should pay the same benefits they did in the U.S. Why does he not demand this of the Heinz Company, since he is married to the owner? If Kerry is elected, will he and his wife close all those foreign factories and bring all those jobs back to America? Of course they won't. They're making millions off that cheap labor.

Make your vote count.....

DRUDGE REPORT 2004

I'm sure you have already heard by now that Kerry calls members of the Swift Boat Vets! Do I smell fear?? And again, I say...(teehee)

John Kerry for President - Key Unanswered Questions Bush Record In The National Guard

Hmmm.... Kerry cannot handle the Swift Boats' ads and demands the Bush tell them to stop. (teehee) Sorry, I just see that as funny...

Anyway....here is a link from April of this year where Kerry's campaign attacks Bush on his Record in the National Guard.

The word "hypocrite" comes to mind...or are they just plain stupid? Or do they think we are stupid? Oh, yes, I forgot, they think we are sheep, koolaid drinkers, whatever...

Blogs for Bush

I know we have all seen this before....however, we need to see it again..

Every night, ten men met at a restaurant for dinner. At the end of the meal, the bill would arrive. They owed $100 for the food that they shared. Every night they lined up in the same order at the cash register. The first four men paid nothing at all. The fifth, though he grumbled about the unfairness of the situation, paid $1. The sixth man, feeling generous, paid $3. The next three men paid $7, $12, and $18, respectively. The last man was required to pay the remaining balance of $59.
The ten men were quite settled into their routine when the restaurant threw them into chaos. It announced that it was cutting its prices: Now it would charge only $80 for dinner for the ten men. This reduction wouldn't affect the first four men — they would continue to eat for free. The fifth person decided to forgo his $1 contribution to the pool, and the sixth contributed $2. The seventh man deducted $2 from his usual payment and now paid $5. The eighth man paid $9, the ninth, $12, leaving the last man with a bill of $52. Outside of the restaurant, the men compared their savings, and angry outbursts began to erupt. The sixth man yelled, "I got only $1 out of the total reduction of $20, and he" — pointing to the last man — "got $7." The fifth man joined in the protest. "Yeah! I got only $1 too. It is unfair that he got seven times more than me." The seventh man cried, "Why should he get a $7 reduction when I got only $2?" The first four men followed the lead of the others: "We didn't get any of the $20 reduction. Where is our share?"

The nine men formed an outraged mob, surrounding the tenth man. The nine angry men carried the tenth man up to the top of a hill and lynched him. The next night, the nine remaining men met at the restaurant for dinner. But when the bill came, there was no one to pay it.

Kerry is Retracting ANOTHER one of his Stories

Fox News has just reported that the Kerry camp is admitting that Kerry's first purple heart came from a self inflicted wound! Go Michelle Malkin! Chris Matthews is the idiot!

The Kerry camp is having to admit and retract because Kerry writes in his own diary nine days after receiving his first purple heart that they had yet to see enemy fire.

An Excerpt from Kerry's book that he is trying to hide

Talk about Pessimism and a lack of Vision. Kerry has both...the pessimism and the lack.

This is the Preface to his book "The New Soldier." The book he pulled from the shelves because he did not want any of us reading his work...Because we would see the real John Kerry....Extremely pessimistic, disrespectful and lacking vision.

My favorite quote from him..."But the point is they are not a free people now, and we cannot fight communism all over the world. I think we should have learned that lesson by now."

Ergo...his lack of vision....and pessimism

BW Online August 23 2004 Why Kerrys War Record Matters

Business Week has, I believe, a fair assessment regarding Kerry and his war record. A strong contrast from the liberal media....

The USA - Land of the Free?

Here is one of many reasons why Kerry as President terrifies me.....

Today, his campaign has begun a book banning effort on the book "Unfit for Command."

Do you see where this is leading? Should someone ever criticize him if he were the Commander in Chief.......This is truly scary! We would lose our First Amendment Right should we disagree with him. It is sounding more Communistic than Socialistic! (No, we are not a Socialistic country, however, the left wing leans in that direction.)

Has President Bush demanded a ban on Michael Moore's movie?

NO, he has not. WHY? Even though Michael Moore has lied like a rug regarding his piece of sh*t, the President understands the freedoms of our country....However, where are those trial lawyers when you need them!??

The freedoms that we take for granted EVERY day thanks to our soldiers who fight to the death every day to defend our freedoms.....Not only do we take them for granted, we forget our responsibility to them...Yes, Michael Moore, I'm talking to you...

The Dems are Heading for a Nervous Breakdown

Chris Matthews of Hardball is an idiot! An unprepared idiot. He interviewed Michelle Malkin last night. He was an ASS....And he had not prepared for the interview. He has not read "Unfit for Command," which was the topic of his interview last night!

If any of you saw this lash out at Michelle last night, voice your disgust at hardball@msnbc.com or, as Michelle Malkin has found his number for you...call him at 202-885-4600. I've sent him a couple of emails....I just may call him later today.....

On another topic....Kerry is about to crash. Apparently, the Swift Boat Vets are getting through to people. Kerry is now attempting to pull the Swift Boat Vets' book from the stores! Amazing...I guess the dems are the only people who are entitled to the First Amendment...or they would not censor....Check out the developing story at the Drudge Report.

I found a blog that lists conservative celebrities! Not sure how accurate, however, it is a great start for the research.

I'm so excited....Freddie Prinze Jr. is considered a conservative! And, of course, his wife, BUFFY! (Sara Michele Geller).

The list is long.

Swift Boat Vets

Remember to check out Blogs for Bush, and the Kerry Spot.

I'm watching Chris Matthews on Hardball right now interviewing Larry Thurlow of the Swiftboat Vets. I'm about to change the channel because Chris is an ASS. He does not even give Thurlow a chance to answer the questions.

OK, I'm changing the channel and will send a nasty email to Chris Matthews..
