Redstate || Your Tax Dollars At Work:

Democrat (n.) - SORE LOSER!

"Your Tax Dollars At Work By: Pejman Yousefzadeh

Congratulations to the House Democrats and to Senator Barbara Boxer for their splendid and judicious decision to challenge President Bush's winning of 20 electoral votes in Ohio. Don't let all of those recounts and the fact that you were only able to shave a mere 300 votes off the Bush margin of victory in the Buckeye State stop you from holding to principle, dagnabbit! And the principle is clear: If exit polls say that your man is supposed to be President of the United States, and the actual vote goes against what the polls say, then it is the voters that must be wrong. Or there must be 'suppression.' Or something. Anything. It's not like exit polls are unreliable, after all. It's not like polls in general don't usually hit the mark with unerring accuracy (just this morning, former President Thomas Dewey called me up and reminded me to always trust the polls). And of course, John Kerry himself is personally invested in this fight--despite the fact that he's not even there for the Senate debate on whether to count Ohio's votes as part of President Bush's total. But don't let that stop you from doing your thing!

And when matters are finally concluded and the Ohio votes go to Bush as we expect they will, you can all go find a windmill to tilt at, or a stone to perpetually push uphill only to have it roll back on you and force you to start over. Because that's a useful expenditure of your time as well."

A new definition for Democrat --- SORE LOSER!!!!

The Democrat's Travesty

"Well, the deed is done - absent any evidence of electoral fraud, two Democrats rose in the Joint Session moments ago and presented false and lying objections to a free and fair election under the Constitution of the United States. There has never been a more despicable act in all of American political history."

Notable Quotes

We are six percent or less of the world's population, yet we give almost half. We are a very small number of people, relatively speaking, and we carry the weight of a dozen countries. Secondly, we maintain a military structure that keeps the peace of the world.....Who is in the Indian Ocean with the aircraft carriers, helicopters, skilled personal? No one has the infrastructure in the world, we spend almost half a trillion dollars a year on our military structure, which is essentially the fire department of the planet and it is always at the disposal of people hit in a national disaster.....Incidentally on food aid, we give 60% of all the food aid in the world. It is simply irresponsible to talk about the U.S. as anything other than the most generous nation on the planet.

Now...I'm REALLY angry!

From the AFP via The Australian :

A 12-year-old Swedish boy injured in the tsunami that struck South-East Asia may have been kidnapped from a hospital in Thailand, a Swedish newspaper has reported.
Swedish and Thai police are cooperating to find the boy, Kristian Walker, the Expressen reported.

“Kristian was here in the hospital. He was taken away by a man,” the paper quoted Kampongsree Somprutthana, a hospital doctor, as saying.

Kristian’s father, Dan Walker, and his grandfather, Daniel Walker, found several witnesses who recognised the boy who mysteriously disappeared from the hospital 30km from Khao Lak, one of Thailand’s worst-hit holiday resorts.

The man he may have left with was described as “European-looking, with a moustache and a red shirt”. […]

The report comes a day after the Swedish branch of non-governmental organisation Save the Children, Raedda Barnen, warned that children who ended up alone after the natural disaster were potential targets for sexual abuse by pedophiles.
[…]

There were already “indications” that surviving children had been sexually abused in Sri Lanka, one of the countries suffering worst from the tsunami, Ms Petri Gornitzka said.

My Way News

The President knows how to unite!

The Tsunami Tragedy

I'm still absorbing all of the tragedy that happened in the Asian countries. It is a terrible event and my heart goes out to all of the victims and their families.....However, I'm having a difficult time with my empathy when I hear the U.N. accuse the U.S. of being stingy.....I'm really tired of this Socialist mentality of the U.N....not to mention its corruption with the Oil for Food scandal......

I'm also slowly realizing that, as this place is a hotbed of radical Islamists, if this tsunami had destroyed our West Coast, these SAME radical Islamists would say that Allah was punishing us and that the U.S. deserved it.
