France, Germany Say No To Kerry's Iraq Plan
Britain's Financial Times reports that John Kerry's grand Iraq plan is DOA:

French and German government officials say they will not significantly increase military assistance in Iraq even if John Kerry, the Democratic presidential challenger, is elected on November 2...

"I cannot imagine that there will be any change in our decision not to send troops, whoever becomes president," Gert Weisskirchen, member of parliament and foreign policy expert for Germany's ruling Social Democratic Party, said in an interview.

It looks like the bloggers are at what they do best! They are checking into another statement made by Kerry that may be a lie!

In an interview from 2001 with the O'Reilly Factor, Kerry claims: "I mean, I was in Safwan. I went there when the signing of the armistice took place at the end of the war." However, this may be another lie....

See what they are now researching! I'll keep you posted.

Feedback from an Army Captain in Iraq in regards to Kerry's defeatist attitude.

The History of Social Security

Thanks for this info Glenna!

SOCIAL SECURITY:

Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA) Program. He promised:

1.) That participation in the Program would be completely voluntary,

2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual incomes into the Program,

3.) That the money the participants elected to put into the Program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year,

4.) That the money the participants put into the independent "Trust Fund" rather than into the General operating! fund, and therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other Government program, and,

5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income.

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month -- and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the Federal government to "put away," you may be interested in the following:

Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent "Trust" fund and put it into the General fund so that Congress could spend it?

A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the Democratically-controlled House and Senate.

Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?

A: The Democratic Party.

Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities?

A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the "tie-breaking" deciding vote as President of the Senate, while he was Vice President of the U.S.

Q: Which Political Party decided to start giving annuity payments to immigrants?

A: That's right! Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party. Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to receive SSI Social Security payments! The Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it! Then, after doing all this
lying and thieving and violation of the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!

And the worst part about it is, uninformed citizens believe it!

Interesting Turn of Events

I am watching Imus (MSNBC) talking with Howard Fineman of Newsweek and they both (liberals) have written off Kerry. Howard reluctantly agreed and Imus was all over it. According to Imus, in the eyes of the liberal media, Kerry is finished and they will no longer push publicity towards him.

Kerry is finally focusing on Iraq and has become the anti-war candidate only because the insurgency in Iraq is high at the moment. Should the Iraqi people and US soldiers get this under control, watch for Kerry to flop and back the war......

Need surgery? Here's how long you'll wait

Need surgery? Here's how long you'll wait

Here is another reason why we DO NOT want socialized medicine.

Susan Warner swallows addictive painkillers every day to ease the crippling pain she endures waiting for knee-replacement surgery.

One of her knees gave out in October and the Calgary woman has been waiting for the surgery since. However, Warner, 51, is lost in a lineup for the operation at the Rockyview General Hospital that she says could last 18 months.

"It's inhuman. The quality of my life is horrible and there's absolutely nothing I can do about it," she said Tuesday.

Waiting lists are crippling Canada's health-care system and frustrating patients and doctors alike. The Canadian Medical Association released a 10-point prescription on Tuesday that targets waiting lists for surgery and diagnostic procedures like MRIs and CT scans.

It proposes setting benchmark waiting times for surgery, hiring more health professionals, and expanding options for Canadians to get treatment in other jurisdictions.

In Calgary, as the city expands, so does the pressure to get people treated at local hospitals in a reasonable amount of time.

There are about 25,000 Calgarians waiting for surgery or scans at the city's four major hospitals. And the Calgary Health Region estimates waiting times for surgery are growing at an astronomical rate of 12 to 18 per cent every year.

Alberta Health's website says waiting times in Calgary are as follows:

- 62 weeks for a hip replacement at Peter Lougheed Centre;

- 62 weeks for general surgery at Rocky- view General Hospital;

- 30 weeks for MRI scans at Foothills Medical Centre;

- 54 weeks for knee replacement surgery at Rockyview General Hospital;

- 11 weeks for cardiac surgery at Foothills Medical Centre.

For Warner, the wait has come with a heavy price. She says she has become addicted to painkillers that are a daily staple to help her hobble through her workday.

Warner's a photographer, a job that keeps her on her feet most of the day, with or without her cane.

"I know I'm addicted. When I wake up in the morning, I'm shaking and have headaches," she said with a sigh. "I'll have to deal with that after the fact."

In their report, Canada's doctors and nurses are sending a direct message to premiers meeting this week in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., for three days of talks largely on Canada's ailing health-care system.

In its report, titled The Taming of the Queue, the Canadian Medical Association and Canadian Nurses Association argue the Canada Health Act should be revamped to help Canadians get quicker access to better health care.

Waiting for care is part of the "normal functioning of any health system," the report says, but warns excessive waits can have "significant health and economic impacts."

During the June election, Prime Minister Paul Martin identified waiting lists as the top issue facing the medicare system.

He vowed to spend $4 billion over the next five years to reduce waiting times, including focusing on five specific areas: cancer care, joint replacement, heart surgery, diagnostic imaging and sight restoration surgery.

The medical association's report proposes a 10-point plan to fix waiting lists, including:

n Establishing reasonable waiting times for different procedures;

n Allowing hospital funding to expand or contract depending on pressures, so service delivery isn't constrained by budget caps;

n Aggressively recruiting and retaining health-care professionals;

n Prioritizing services and ailments through consultation with the public and health-care providers;

n Improving the ability of Canadians to seek care in other provinces or out of the country.

The association's president said sustainable reforms -- not just more cash -- should be the premiers' focus if they hope to wean the system off its crutches.

"Access to health care in a timely manner is job No. 1 and Canadians expect nothing less," said Dr. Sunil Patel. "If (the premiers) focus on dollars alone, then we have lost everything. Canadians will lose confidence in their health-care system."

The report does say the system needs money.

"There is no doubt that the availability of resources does come to bear on the timeliness and accessibility of health-care services," the report says.

The Calgary Health Region has thrown hundreds of millions of dollars into expediting care for residents.

In February, the CHR announced a $450-million plan to open new beds and operating rooms, and expand emergency and intensive care units at the Foothills Medical Centre, Peter Lougheed Centre and Rocky-view General Hospital.

"Our longest waiting lists are in orthopedics and general surgery," said Tracy Wasylak, the CHR's vice-president of surgical services. "We're hoping to put resources into both of those programs this year to drop those waiting lists."

Sick of waiting for her pain to be eased, Warner, meanwhile, said she looked to Montana to expedite the surgery. However, the procedure would cost $25,000 -- leaving her to wait and hope in Canada.

"It's brutal. I'm in constant pain," Warner said. "I can't work to full capacity. It's difficult to function."

Get in line . . .

Waiting periods for surgical procedures at Calgary hospitals:

Hips, knees, bones, joints and muscles: 20 to 62 weeks

MRI scans: 17 to 31 weeks

General surgery (removal of gall bladder, hernia, lumps, cysts, varicose veins): 23 to 62 weeks

The New York Times > Opinion > Op-Ed Columnist: A War Hero or a Phony?:

"Did Mr. Kerry volunteer for dangerous duty? Not as much as his campaign would like you to believe. The Kerry Web site declares, 'As he was graduating from Yale, John Kerry volunteered to serve in Vietnam - because, as he later said, 'It was the right thing to do.' '

In fact, as Mr. Kerry was about to graduate from Yale, he was inquiring about getting an educational deferment to study in Europe. When that got nowhere, he volunteered for the Navy, which was much less likely to involve danger in Vietnam than other services. After a year on a ship in the ocean, Mr. Kerry volunteered for Swift boats, but at that time they were used only in Vietnam's coastal waters. A short time later, the Swift boats were assigned exceptionally dangerous duties up Vietnamese rivers. 'When I signed up for the Swift boats, they had very little to do with the war,'' Mr. Kerry wrote in 1986, adding, 'I didn't really want to get involved in the war.' "

Survey: Swedes Skip Work Due to Fatigue

Fri Sep 17, 2:08 PM ET

By MATTIAS KAREN, Associated Press Writer

STOCKHOLM, Sweden - In a country already plagued by skyrocketing sick leave costs, a new survey found that 40 percent of the population thinks it's acceptable to skip work because they feel tired or have trouble getting along with their colleagues.

The survey, presented Friday by the National Social Insurance Board, showed that Swedes manifestly take advantage of the country's liberal sick leave system, officials said.

Sixty-five percent of the 1,002 people interviewed also said that a stressful work situation is also a valid reason for calling in sick.

The survey shows "a deep lack of knowledge about what the health insurance is meant to cover," board director Anna Hedborg said of Sweden's 9 million residents.

Alf Eckerhall, a social insurance expert with the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, went a step further: many Swedes are deliberately abusing the system.

"The insurance laws clearly state that inability to work because of illness" is the only valid reason to stay home, Eckerhall said. "The key word is 'inability to work' — not 'illness.'"

The survey, conducted June 17-24, did not have a margin of error.

Sweden's extensive cradle-to-grave welfare system includes generous social insurance programs covering sick leave, parental leave and unemployment benefits.

But paying for workers on long-term sick leave and disability has become one of the government's biggest expenditures.

Sick leave compensation tripled from 15 billion kronor ($2 billion) in 1997 to 45 billion kronor ($6 billion) in 2002.

In Sweden, the employer pays for the first three weeks' sick leave and workers can call in sick for seven days before needing a doctor's certificate or medical proof.

People who call in sick do not receive any compensation for the first day they are absent.

But Eckerhall said many are abusing the current system by leaving work and calling in sick shortly before their work day is over. That then counts as one sick day, which lets them start receiving sick pay the next day.

"That means your day without compensation was 15 minutes long," Eckerhall said. "Medically speaking, that sounds pretty odd."

Hedborg said the board will launch a massive nationwide campaign to inform people that only illness is a valid reason to stay home from work, she said.

"To many, this message may seem hard and even insensitive," she wrote. "The truth is that if we don't defend our common insurance today, we won't be able to afford keeping it."

Rathergate...Memogate....

I've read numerous blogs today regarding the forged memos at CBS. Here is my recap:

  • The secretary, Mrs. Knox, stated that the memos were fake, although she believes that they are accurate (go figure). Mrs. Knox claimed that she was Killian's secretary, however Killian's son said that she was in the secretary pool and not Killian's secretary. Killian's son states this, however, Dear ole Dan does not seem to want to interview Killian's son.
  • Killian's son also states that his father never said anything bad about Bush. Killian's son also served under his father.
  • Mrs. Knox also claimed that the other boys in the Guard resented Bush. Well, numerous other "boys" came forward today to say that she is lying.
  • I think that Dan has admitted that the memos are fake, however, he claims that the message is accurate. Strange.... Not sure how that is...
  • The fake memos have been traced to a Kinko's in Abilene. A disgruntled retired Army National Guard by the name of Bill Burkett is the suspect. Burkett is a strong democrat and has hated Bush since 1995. (This is your DNC connection)
  • 99.9999% of the News Organizations have agreed that the memos are fake. CBS is the only organization that is still fighting that the memos are authentic...or are they? We can't really tell anymore....
  • CBS has been hit HARD in the ratings because of this. Some radio affiliations have dropped CBS and picked up FOX as their radio news source.
  • Ben Barnes, the Democrat who has raised over $500,000 for the DNC, denied, in 1998, getting Bush in the National Guard. Now, in 2004, claims that he did give a favor to Bush by getting him in the National Guard. Barnes' daughter has been interviewed by Fox and Dallas radio news shows and claims that her father is lying. His own daughter said that Barnes is saying this about Bush because Kerry promised him a position if Kerry is elected President....SCARY...These are the people that want to run our country???

So much more....go to www.blogsforbush.com, http://www.nationalreview.com/kerry/kerryspot.asp, http://wizbangblog.com/, and http://rathergate.com/. There are so many more! I need to figure out how to blogroll.

Blogs for Bush - A question for Kerry

Blogs for Bush: "Twenty simple questions
Peter Kirsanow from the National Review has 20 questions for John Kerry to answer. That is if John Kerry ever decides to answer any at all.

#1 is the perfect reason John Kerry is unfit for command:

1. You've repeatedly demanded Donald Rumsfeld's resignation over Abu Ghraib prison abuse. In light of such demand, please respond to the following:

a. Given your confession that you committed atrocities in Vietnam, including burning villages and using 50-caliber machine guns on people, shouldn't you, then, withdraw from presidential consideration?

b. If your answer is 'no,' please explain why a secretary of Defense should be held to a higher standard than an aspiring president who personally committed atrocities objectively more horrific than the abuses for which you hold Rumsfeld accountable."

Captain's Quarters

Captain's Quarters: "Kerry's Economic Plan

John Kerry penned his economic plan for the pages of the Wall Street Journal, which made it available through Opinionjournal.com this morning (free registration required). The plan focuses on a series of targeted tax credits intended to bolster his standing among specific demographics, while promising class war on the top 2% of American earners -- who already pay over half of all revenues from income tax.

Kerry starts out by trying to convince his readers that the economic expansion currently under way, fueled by the Bush tax cuts, is the worst in 50 years by focusing on job growth. However, the expansion itself as measured by GDP (the normal measurement) actually is the best in 20 years, almost outstripping the Reagan expansion in 1984. Even job growth, a lagging indicator, has improved remarkably this year, although buffeted by a summer of skyrocketing energy prices. One reason that Kerry can claim job growth as a problem is a continued reliance on the payroll statistics rather than the household survey, which shows a major shift towards self-employment and small business start-ups, which the Bureau of Labor Statistics payroll survey routinely underreports. That's the reason the unemployment rate has dropped to a level lower than the average during the Clinton administration.

But that's just the introduction.

Swift Boat Veterans for Truth - Swift Vets Fact Sheet

Here is why Kerry's campaign has forged documents (felony) to distract us from Kerry being "Unfit for Command."

Why would we want someone who breaks all rules and laws to be our commander-in-chief? The Democrat Party has stooped to a level that is below the lowest.

Captain's Quarters

Captain's Quarters

Not only do the Democrats break all rules and laws (cheat..cheat..cheat) with their campaign; they can't handle it when Kerry's own words are thrown back in his face.

Check out the Captain's article regarding what happened when the Vice President used Kerry's own words against him.

The Rise and Fall of Democracy

At about the time our original 13 states adopted their new constitution, in the year 1787, Alexander Tyler (a Scottish history professor at The University of Edinborough) had this to say about "The Fall of The Athenian Republic" some 2,000 years prior:

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship."

"The average age of the worlds greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

From Bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage."

Beware......The liberals already vote for candidates that promise them these gifts from the public treasury...welfare, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and now...health insurance!

We need to privatize these benefits and make the individuals responsible for themselves. The Government should be responsible for keeping us safe and free. We, as individuals, are responsible for being productive members of society.

Americans for Tax Reform - Kerry Health Care Power Grab to Cost $1.5 TRILLION

This is a PDF file so I have copied the article below:

Kerry Health Care Power Grab to Cost $1.5 Trillion
Plan would enroll millions in Hillary-style scheme

WASHINGTON — Americans for Tax Reform President Grover Norquist today expressed concern that Senator Kerry’s health care plan would result in the largest expansion of government ever.

In an independent study conducted by the American Enterprise Institute and peer-reviewed by health care experts, Kerry’s plan is slated to cost $1.5 trillion over ten years. A majority of that money is to expand Medicaid in the largest power-grab in the history of the program.

“This is the most blatant attempt at universal, government-run health care since the Hillarycare era a decade ago,” said Norquist. “Senator Kerry would have to raise taxes on every American in order to pay for his massive expansion of government-run health care.”

The Kerry health care scheme is almost as impotent as it is expensive. It would cost over $5500 per year to give an uninsured American coverage under his plan. President Bush’s health savings account-based plan (which is paid for in his budget request) would cost only $1900 per newly-insured American.

“There is no way that Senator Kerry can raise taxes on “the rich” and use that money to pay for his risky health care scheme and his other spending dreams,” continued Norquist. “All told, Kerry’s
spending tab is now approaching $5 trillion over a decade. He also plans on balancing the budget in that time. Does anyone seriously believe he can do that just by passing the hat in Nantucket and Georgetown?”

Americans for Tax Reform is a non-partisan coalition of taxpayers and taxpayer groups who oppose all federal and state tax increases. For more information or to arrange an interview please contact Chris Butler at (202) 785-0266 or by email at cbutler@atr.org.

My personal comment: $5500 per year for each unisured American??!! This is NOT efficient and very wasteful. I review my health insurance on a yearly basis to SAVE money, NOT waste money. I refuse to spend $5500 for each unisured American when I work HARD to keep our premiums under $2000 a year...FOR a FAMILY policy!

Blogs for Bush: "Will The Experts Who Believe Forgery Please Stand Up?

A Blogs For Bush Reader has provided Blogs for Bush with an updated list of experts who believe that the Bush Guard Memos are likely not authentic:

Ipse Dixit - As long as your foot's stuck in that bear trap...

Ipse Dixit - As long as your foot's stuck in that bear trap...

More proof that the memos were forged.

Strangely Enough...

... #4 (the consecutive numbers in PO Box address) does not appear to be another error that proves the Rathergate documents are forgeries. Not, at least, because the numbers are consecutive.

I'd heard someone mention that on Hugh Hewitt's show the other day so I looked for it when looking at the known authentic documents Josh Marshall pointed to in his last ditch (and subsequently abandoned) effort to salvage his ability to believe CBS. Look at page 10: The P.O. Box really is 34567.

Unfortunately for CBS, P.O. Box 34567 appears to have belonged to the 147th Fighter Group, not the 111th Fighter Interceptor Squadron. I've looked at a lot of those known authentic documents* and have yet to find one that has the 111th receiving mail at that P.O. Box.

* During which foray I also noted that this copy of Bush's suspension from flight status (page 10) appears to be the source of the forger's reference to AFM 35-13. But, as the Clown Posse discovered AFM 35-13 is the manual prescribing the consequences of not taking the physical. The requirement to take the physical is in AFM 160-1 (which uses the term "medical examination", not "physical examination", another error). The latter authority is what LtCol Killian would have referenced in any "In Accordance With" statement "ordering" Bush to take said physical. Via Wizbang

Thanks to Hugh Hewitt and the NUMEROUS other bloggers, here is the case that the documents CBS presented are forged...and I will personally add....forged by the Kerry Campaign.

*Lt Col Killian didn't type;

*Lt Col Killian's family says he did not maintain such records;

*Guard regulations prohibited the maintenance of such records;

*General Bobby Hodges didn't vouch for the docs as CBS said he would;

*Colonel Buck Staudt --cited in the memos as pushing Killian to "sugarcoat" a Bush evaluation-- had retired more than a year before the meo was allegedly written;

*Bloggers have been overwhelmed with e-mails from active duty and retire dmilitary who scoff at the form of the memos;

*Typewriters with proportional spacing were rare in '72/3;

*Typewriters with superscripting capabilites were rare in '72/3;

*Typewriters with perfect centering ability were non-existent '72/3;

*Typewriters with the "kerning" function didn't exist in '72/3;

*Most experts, from Dr.Cartwright at Rice, the above-referenced Dr. Bouffard and Farrell Shiver, range from certain to almost certain in their conclusions that the docs are not legit;

*CBS doesn't have the "originals" and didn't reveal that fact until pressure mounted;

*The fake docs are easily and exactly reproduced on modern word-processing equipment, underscoring the ease with which the bad forgery could have been produced contrasted with the near impossibility of Lt Colonel Killian's producing them in 192/3;

*Lt Col Killian lacked motive to write and maintain such records;

*Despite intense media interest in the president's TANG career that extends back at least four years, someone sat on these docs until seven weeks before the 2004 election and after the RNC convention;

*CBS has a history of obtaining docs damaging to the Bush Adminsitration which in all likelihood came from Democratic partisans;

*CBS won't reveal its source;

*CBS has a history of blowing stories that involved fake documents; and

*Dan Rather has not appeared opposite a serious journalist to answer extended questions on camera, even though his reputation and the reputation of his network are being shredded and a confidant witness would demand a hearing with a Russert or a Hume.

U.S. Newswire : Release : Remarks by Senator John Kerry at the Annual Session of the National Baptist Convention

U.S. Newswire : Release : Remarks by Senator John Kerry at the Annual Session of the National Baptist Convention

Kerry spoke to the National Baptist Convention in New Orleans on Sept. 9th. In his speech to the convention, Kerry has accused Bush of being a false prophet! or is it "profit?" :-)

Read the entire transcript and be amazed at his lies... Here is the paragraph referring to scripture...

"I also know that George Bush has asked the question, "Does the Democratic Party take African American voters for granted?" Well, here is my answer. The Book of Matthew reminds us, "Beware of false profits which come to you in sheep's clothing." (Matthew 7:15)."

I haven't figured this out yet, whether Kerry made the mistake or the person transcribing made the mistake, however, the word is easy to reference. I'm guessing both Kerry and the author of the transcription know how to look up Matthew 7:15.

Other than the gross error in the typo...Did Kerry just accuse the President of being a false prophet??!! Kerry has lost his mind....and so have the people who have fallen for his delusion.

9/11 - Never Forget Posted by Hello

Friday, September 10, 2004

Thanks to Lisa for sending this to me....very interesting article...I've posted the pictures below this article.

The Iraqi jet, an advanced Russian MiG-25 Foxbat, was found buried in the sand after an informant tipped off U.S. troops.

The MiG was dug out of a massive sand dune near the Al Taqqadum airfield by U.S. Air Force recovery teams. The MiG was reportedly one of over two dozen Iraqi jets buried in the sand, like hidden treasure, waiting to be recovered at a later date.

Contrary to what some in the major media have reported, not all the jets found were from the Gulf War era. The Russian-made MiG-25 Foxbat being recovered by U.S. Air Force troops in the photos is an advanced reconnaissance version never before seen in the West and is equipped with sophisticated electronic warfare devices.

U.S. Air Force recovery teams had to use large earth-moving equipment to uncover the MiG, which is over 70 feet long and weighs nearly 25 tons. The Foxbat is known to be one of Iraq's top jet fighters. The advanced electronic reconnaissance version found by the U.S. Air Force is currently in service with the Russian air force. The MiG is capable of flying at speeds of over 2,000 miles an hour, or three times the speed of sound, and at altitudes of over 75,000 feet. The recovery of the advanced MiG fighter is considered to be an intelligence coup by the U.S. Air Force. The Foxbat may also be equipped with advanced Russian- and French-made electronics that were sold to Iraq during the 1990s in violation of a U.N. ban on arms sales to Baghdad.

The buried aircraft at Al Taqqadum were covered in camouflage netting, sealed and, in many cases, had their wings removed before being buried more than 10 feet beneath the Iraqi desert.

X Marks the Spot

The discovery of the buried Iraqi jet fighters illustrates the problem faced by ! U.S. inspection teams searching Iraq for weapons of mass destruction. Iraq is larger in size than California, and the massive deserts south and west of Baghdad were used by Saddam Hussein to hide weapons during the first Gulf war. U.S. intelligence sources have already uncovered several mass grave burial sites in the open deserts with an estimated 10,000 dead hidden there. In addition, Iraq previously hid SCUD missiles, chemical weapons and biological warheads by burying them under the desert sand. U.N. inspection teams found the weapons in the early 1990s after detailed information of the exact locations was obtained. Top U.S. weapons inspector Dr. David Kay is known to favor human intelligence as the primary means to find Iraq's hidden treasure trove of weapons and secrets. While there are rumors of Iraqi chemical and biological weapons being shipped to nearby Syria, the weapons may very well still remain inside Iraq buried under the vast desert wastelands.

Some critics of the Bush administration have claimed that the inability of U.S.. forces to uncover weapons of mass destruction is proof that the president misled the nation into the war with Iraq. However, in recent days the critics have fallen silent as word quietly leaked from Iraq that major discoveries have already been made and are now being documented completely. Bush administration officials are keeping any such discoveries secret for the moment. Pray they will find something to close the mouth of all his critics before election day.

The Kerry Spot on National Review Online

The Kerry Spot on National Review Online

I LOVE this analogy...One of my most favorite scenes from "Raiders of the Lost Ark."

From the Kerry Spot:

THE BUSH CAMPAIGN'S FAVORITE METAPHOR [09/09 02:39 PM]

"I'm not quite sure what this comparison of the presidential campaign to one of my all-time favorite movie scenes by London's Daily Telegraph means, exactly, but I'm sure the Bush campaign loves it.

Watching Mr Kerry try to take on Mr Bush brings to mind a classic moment in that cult film of the 1980s, Raiders of the Lost Ark. Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones is trapped in a back-alley in an Egyptian souk.

A crowd closes in as a giant Arab steps forward wielding a scimitar. Snick-snack it goes through the air, faster and faster.

The audience tenses. Indie shudders. Then he draws a pistol from his belt and shoots the Arab in the forehead. Game over. The crowd drifts away.

Such is America's polarisation that the crowd enveloping the two presidential candidates is not yet drifting away. But, notwithstanding his own twists over Iraq, Mr Bush plays a convincing straight shooter. His pistol is already drawn and all the while Mr Kerry seems happier whirling a scimitar than reaching for a gun.

Oh, wait, Kerry's convoluted, complicated explanations of his views on every issue is like waving around the sword, while Bush's blunt, four-to-five words-in-their-entirety statements are like shooting a gun. Now it makes sense."

Advice from Bill Gates

Here is another email I received from a friend. Thank You!

This is something from Bill Gates. I went ahead and checked Open Secrets because I thought that he supported Kerry. However, it looks like he supports President Bush!

Even if Bill Gates did not actually say this...It is still GREAT advice!

To anyone with kids of any age, here's some advice.

Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.
  • Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!
  • Rule 2: The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.
  • Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school.You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.
  • Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.
  • Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping - they called it opportunity.
  • Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.
  • Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.
  • Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.
  • Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.
  • Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.
  • Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

If you can read this - Thank a teacher!

If you are reading it in English - Thank a soldier!!

Kerry: It's all about him

We just heard on ABC this morning that Kerry telephoned Clinton last night....on the eve of his Quadruple Bypass Surgery....and Kerry asked Clinton advice as to strategy on debating President Bush....

What's wrong with this picture? Clinton's perspective has changed....just a little....and Narcissistic Kerry is wanting Clinton to HELP him! NO ONE calls a friend or colleague on the eve of a serious surgery and acts like "it's all about me." It's obvious that Kerry's thoughts were not on the former President and his upcoming Bypass surgery....

However...Kerry does seem to have a problem in this area....even though he is an attorney.....Check out his website. His campaign has listed 143 "lies and half truths" from the Republican Convention. It's hilarious because they list these "lies," however, they do not counter argue these "lies." They just list them....and it makes the Republicans look GOOD!
